The Relief Fund for International Pediatric AIDS is a charitable organization that was founded in 1992 at the initiative ofDr. Michio Tani. Prompted by news reports of Romanian orphans who had been inadvertently infected with AIDS, Dr. Tani visited Romania, spoke with physicians about therapy using Prime Natural Medicine, and responded to their requests for assistance. In Japan, Dr. Tani's patients, friends, and a growing network of supporters in the medical, arts, media and business communities provided the financial resources to secure the herbal preparations necessary for the therapy.

In 1992 Dr. Tani initiated the treatment of 40 symptomatic cases of infantile AIDS in collaboration with Dr. Rodica Matusa and her colleagues under the governmental permission at Constanta Municipal Hospital in Romania.The clinical results have been very encouraging. After 30 months of treatment, 90% of the symptomatic children, whose CD4 count improved to an average 850, are still alive. One quarter are now asymptomatic carriers.

This is a small beginning, but the visible, human results provide encouragement to those-of any age-who are suffering from AIDS.



For more than 25 years. Dr. Tani has been a pioneer in fusing the best of the traditional Chinese and conventional Western medical traditions to devise innovative clinical treatments for HIV, Cancer and other diseases for which conventional Western medicine offer little hope.
