Dr. Tani's Super Diet

-- CHAN BAI SAN ---

Composition, Ingredients

The herbal ingredients of Chan Bai San (CBS ) are selected based on the following two criterias:

1) Stimulating the human immuno-activity;
There are many herbs which have mild, tonic effect as well as an anti-inflammatory effect. They include gardenia jasminoides and scutellaria baicalensis.

2) Preventing the symptoms usually observed in AIDS patients. These symptoms
include diarrhea and respiratory diseases.
The herbs in CBS have anti-inflammatory, anti-fever, expectorant or anti-tussive action properties. They include melia azedarach L. and loranthus parasiticus Merr.
CBS also includes herbs having a nourishing, tonic effect on the gastrointestinal tract and good for digestive action. They include pistacia vera L. and dioscorea batatas Decne.
Another set of herbs in CBS have an anti-fungal or anti-viral action. They include glehnia littoralis Fr. and Angerica dahurica B & H.

In prescribing a medicine, these herbs are compounded, based on clinical experience, according to the condition of patient. To increase the effectiveness of CBS, Dr. Tani continues a global search for the best herbal materials.

Safety

Having been prescribed as effective medical preparations in China, Japan and others herbs have been used in East Asia for more than twenty centuries before their efficacy began attracting attention in the Western medical world. Following this long period of natural selection, these preparations are currently being used clinically with, except for an extremely limited number of herbal groups, no adverse effect on human health.
Among the thousands of herbs, there are approximately 500 herbs that are widely used clinically and as popular health therapies. Consequently, their safety is attested to by both herbal medical practitioners and regulators. In 1977, the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare approved 225 commonly used herbal compounds as pharmaceutical products, without requiring that they be subject to clinical trials as required for all pharmaceutical products to be listed in Japan Pharmacopeia.
To ensure the safety of Chan Bai San, Dr. Tani requested the board of the Japanese Oriental Medical Institute to certify its safety and simultaneously had his formula undergo toxication and reverse mutation tests in rats at the Institute of Food and Drug Safety Center. They certified the safety of his formula and confirmed the absence of side effects.
The common side effects herbal medicine are known to cause are skin eruptions, subcutaneous edema, slight gastro-intestinal disorders, and other generally minor symptoms. Under normal use, these conditions disappear immediately after treatment is halted. Some recently clinical reports suggest that the herbal medicine Shousaikoto causes allergic pneumonia. However, Chan Bai San does not induce this side effect because it contains only glycyrrhizin, one of the seven herbal ingredients of Shousaikoto.
Based on the safety of Chan Bai San, Dr. Tani is currently using his formula in treating several diseases, including pediatric AIDS in Romania.
Astol is a mixture of high-quality yogurt and the liquid extract of green bean sprouts (or, phaseolus radiatus L). Bean sprouts are widely eaten in the Orient and are said to relieve inflammation. The mixture of yogurt and bean sprout extract is beneficial and totally harmless to the human body.
Astol yogurt was developed by Dr. Tani to treat his patients with autoimmune diseases. Its efficacy in encouraging recovery of the body's immunological functions has been confirmed during his treatment on immuno-deficiency diseases such as leukemia for ten years. It has similar effects for AIDS patients. According to his clinical experience with AIDS patients, it improves the functions of white blood cell and stimulates CD4 cells to maintain their power up to a normal level even with a low count.

--DAILY DIET and NATURAL TREATMENT--

One of the biggest differences between Prime Natural Medicine (using selected natural herbs) and conventional Western medicine (using synthetic drugs) is the position of the daily diet. Synthetic drugs have a powerful effect on the body, but their action is not affected by food, which is a natural product. Prime Natural Medicine use natural ingredients that are the same as, so these medicines actively interact with food. Eating good foods enhances the effect of prime natural medicines such as Chan Bai San and Astol. Bad food reduces their benefits.
Individual with the HIV infection should adhere to a vegetarian diet, avoiding meat and eggs. Also, we recommend that you have yogurt instead of milk and consume small portions of seafood such as fish and shrimps for the intake of essential amino acids.
Our food recommendations are based on three criteria:
Maintaining the immune mechanism and reinforcing it.
Maintaining the mental condition by stabilizing Qi.
Restraining viral activity.
Dr. Tani's experience is that Chan Bai San and Astol Yogurt are most effective when taken with a natural diet. Their effectiveness is reduced by at least 20% on a normal Japanese diet and probably more for those consuming higher portions of meat and dairy products.
